One family saves 800$ and puts aside 75$ each month. Another family saves 500$ ands puts aside 95$ each month. When will they both have the same amount saved?

    when will they have the same amount saved ... when will they be equal ... so set them equal to each other and solve for x

    75x + 800 = 95x + 500

    800 - 500 = 95x - 75x

    300 = 20x

    300/20 = x

    15 = x ... so they will have the same amount in 15 months
