Matt measures 3 pieces of string. The first piece is 544 centimeters. The second piece is 144 centimeters, and the thrill piece is 112 centimeters. How many meters of string does he have altogether?

    Add all the strings together.

    544 + 144 + 112 = 800

    Conversion: 100cm = 1m

    Divide.

    800 / 100 = 8

    Therefore, Matt has 8 meters of string altogether.
