5. This formula works out the tax you pay.

T = 0.3 (E - 10 600)

T is the tax you pay in pounds.

E is the amount you earn in pounds.

Alison pays £5200 tax.

Work out the amount she earns.

    first you take 5200 and divided by. 3 = 17333.33 which is the total of the equation e minus 10600 so that means you have to take 17333.33 and add 10600 which = 27933.33 = E
