    f (k) = k/2+1

    Use the substitution method

    f (-6) = - 6/2+1

    Cross out - 6 and 2, divide by 2

    -6/2 = - 3

    2/2 = 1

    -6/2=-3/1=-3

    f (-6) = - 3+1

    Answer: f (-6) = - 2
