    a) Rice = > 1/4

    b) Vegetables = > 1/4

    Step-by-step explanation:

Lets say the farmers field was in a square shape. Now divide this square into 4 parts.

    Now, each part is 1/4

    So, half of his field is for wheat cultivation, i. e., 1/4 + 1/4 = 2/4 = 1/2

So, the other half is for rice and vegetables

2 vegetables have to be grown on the other half

    So,

Fraction of field required for growing rice = 1/4

Fraction of field required for growing vegetables = 1/4
