The area of a rectangular room is 154 square feet. If the length of one side of

the room is 11 feet, what is the perimeter of the room?

    The previous response give you the width but now the perimeter.

    The full solution is as states:

    Area = length x width

    154 = 11w

    Complete the Inverse Operation for Multiplication and Divide 154 by 11

    14 = w ... therefore the width is 14 feet

    Perimeter = 2 (length) + 2 (width)

    P = 2 (11) + 2 (14)

    P = 22 + 28

    P = 50 ... therefore the perimeter of the room is 50 feet

    area=11*x

    11x=154

    x=14
