    x-2 = 0

    since there is a missing x you have to put in a 0

    2 | 1 - 4 1 0 2

    1 2 - 4 - 6 - 6

    1 - 2 - 3 - 6 - 4

    x^3 x^2 x # remainder

    bring down the 1 then multiply by 2 then add to - 4

    take the - 2 multiply by 2 and add to 1 continuously do the samething

    now take all the x's and go down one since you're taking out a x

    put ing standard form

    2x^3 - 2x^2 - 3x - 6 - (4/x^4 - 4x^3 + x^2 + 2)
