2 3/12 mixed numbers as a decimal

    Ok. So we have 2 wholes, so we know that it's gonna be 2. something. 3/12 can be reduced into 1/4, because 3 goes in 12 four times and 3 goes into 3 one time. So that makes it 2 1/4. We want 4 to be divisible by 10, 100, 1000, 10000, and so on. 100/4 equals 25. Now we know 25 x 4 is 100. There is only 1/4. If it were to be 2/4, it would be 50 because 25 x 2 is 50. But we're only doing 1 here. So the answer would be 2.25.
