6. Jerri was using a recipe for a large pie that required one-half of a cup of sugar. Instead of making one large pie, Jerri decided to use the recipe to make three small pies. How much sugar should she use for each of the three small pies?

    1/6 a cup. Since she was supposed to use 1/2 a cup for the original, just divide that by three and it's 1/6
