Suppose there are 20 people in a room and the mean amount of cash held by these 20 people is $14.50 per person. If two people enter the room carrying $4.00 and $5.00 respectively, what does the mean amount of cash in the room become?

    Multiply 20 by 14.5 and you get the total number of cash, and when the two people enter, add 4 and 5 to that total number, giving you a new total, then divide that new total by 22 because there are now 22 people in the room.
