A long year-end status report for work is 97 pages long. You need to print 16 copies for a meeting next week. How much is the paper going to cost for those reports to the nearest cent? Paper is sold in reams (500 pages) for $3.75 each.

Only for the paper you use (partial reams are OK)

    1164 cents or 11.64$

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Report total Pages = RP = 97

    Need Printed Copies = PC = 16

    Total pages need to print = RP * PC = 97 * 16 = 1552 pages

Now cost for 500 pages printed = 3.75$

Convert dollar to cents (1 dollar = 100 cents)

    3.75$ = 375 cents

cost for one page print = (375/500) = 0.75 cents

    Now total cost for 1552 pages print = 1552 * 0.75 cents = 1164 cents or 11.64 $
