    (a) 2nd is subset of 1st.

    (b) Neither is a subset.

    (c) 1st is subset of 2nd.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    a) Let us assume that A be the set contains the airline flights from NY (New York) to D (Delhi)

    and B be the set contains the nonstop airline flights from NY to D

    A = {flights from NY to D}

    B = {nonstop flights from NY to D}

    All the flights from NY to D also includes nonstop flights from NY to D and so set B is a part of set A.

    Hence, 2nd set is a subset of 1st set.

    b)

    Let us assume that A be the set contains people speaking English

    and B be the set contains people speaking Chinese

    A = {People speaking English}

    B = {People speaking Chinese}

    People speaking English and People speaking Chinese are two different sets as people speaking English may or may not speak Chinese and people speaking Chinese may or may not speak English and so neither set is part of the other.

    Hence, neither set is a subset of the other set.

    c)

    Let us assume that A be the set contains the flying squirrels and B be the set contains the living creatures that can fly.

    A = {flying squirrels}

    B = {flying living creatures}

    All the flying living creatures also includes flying squirrels and so set A is a part of set B.

    Hence, 1st set is a subset of 2nd set.
