then length=12

Width=3/4 of x

= 3/4 * 12

= 9

l=legnth

w is 3/4 legnth

w=3/4l

P=50 when l+2 and w+2

so

50=P=2 (l+2+w+2)

w=3/4l, so sub

50=2 (l+2+3/4l+2)

divide everybody by 2 to ge rid of nasty parenthasees

25=l+2+3/4l+2

25=1 and 3/4l+4

minus 4

21=1 and 3/4l

21=7/4l

times 4 both sides

84=7l

divide by 7

12=l

sub

w=3/4l

w=3/4 (12)

w=9
