If the area of a right angle triangle is 50cm²; the height and base are equal

What are the height and base?

    The area of a rectangle is bh. The area of a triangle is half that, 1/2bh.

    Since b=h, we have 50cm² = 1/2h².

    100cm² = h² [Multiply both sides by 2]

    h = 10 cm, b=10 cm
