Dharmesh has a square garden with a perimeter of 132 feet. Is the area of the garden greater than 1000 square feet?

    Yes because, Any rectangle will always have more of these blocks exposed to the outside than a square of the same area. This proves that a rectangle will always have a larger perimeter than a square with the same area. This implies that if a rectangle and a square have the same perimeter, the rectangle must have a smaller area. So because the perimeter is 132 feet it will have an area greater than 1000 sq feet, also another way to solve is by doing this, The perimeter is the length of the outline of a shape. To find the perimeter of a rectangle or square you have to add the lengths of all the four sides. x is in this case the length of the rectangle while y is the width of the rectangle. so 132 + 132+132+132 or 132*4 = 526 so then 526*2 = 1052 sq is the area
