At the carnival, 9 friends bought 214 tickets. if they wanted to split all the tickets so each friend got the same amount, how many more tickets would they need to buy?

    214 divided by 9 is 23.7777 etc so add two more tickets 216 divided by 9 is 24 so they would need to buy two more tickets to equally divide the tickets

    The answer would be two more tickets because 216 is the closest number to 214 that gives a whole number (24 tickets per each friend) when divided by nine
