A recipe calls for 6 cups water and 4 cups of flour. if the recipe is increased, how many cups of water should be used with 6 cups of flour

    The ratio is 6w = 4f.

    Multiply both sides by 3/2 to get 6 cups of flour, and we have:

    6*3/2 w = 4 * 3/2 f

    18/2 w = 12/2 f

    9 w = 6 f

    So 9 cups of water.
