Paula caught a tarpon with a weight that was 10 times as great as the weight of the permit fish she caught. The total weight of the two fish was 132 pounds. How much did each fish weigh?

    12 and 120 pounds because if you make the equation x+10x=132. That is because x equals the smaller fish and the 10x represents 10times that fish. When you solve it, x equals 12 and 10x would be 120. Checking it also makes sense
