Miranda has 9 pieces of candy. She want to give an equal number of pieces to her 6 friends. How many pieces of candy will each friend get? Write your answer as a mixed number.

    Each friend get 1.5 how did they get that? Simple 6 pieces were handed out which means each friend got 1. There is now 3 left split those 3 in half that gives you 6 halves and you pass those out so now they each got 1.5 pieces

    Mixed number = fraction so each friend gets 1.5/9 pieces of candy ...
