I have two questions

-Will the opposite of a positive number always, sometimes, or never be a positive number?

-Will the opposite of a number always, sometimes, or never be greater than the number itself? Provide an example

    The opposite of a positive whole number will always be negative; hence the word opposite. The opposite of a number will be greater/less than its opposite depending on which number you are comparing it to ... Ex: - 3 the opposite of - 3 is a positive 3. a positive is greater than a negative.

    The opposite of a positive number will never be a positive number, and the opposite of a number will never be greater than the number itself

    - the opposite of 4 is - 4

    -the opposite of - 2 is 2
