A climber starts descending from 533 feet above sea level and keeps going until she reaches 10 feet below sea level. How many feet did she descend?

    It's actually 543 feet because at 523 feet that would mean she is still 10 feet above sea level. So you need to add another 20 feet to get to 10 feet below sea level.
