The perimeter of a rectangle is 60 the lenght is 3 inches more then the width what is the lenght and the width?

    Width=x length=3inches+x

    60inches = 2 (x) + 2 (3inches+x)

    60inches=2x+6inches+2x

    60inches=4x+6inches

    54inches=4x

    13.5inches=x

    width = 13.5 inches length=16.5 inches
