Giselle is painting the inside of her house. She needs 1.6 gallons of paint to cover the walls in each room. There are 4.5 rooms to paint in her house. Two of those rooms each need an additional 0.3 gallons of a different color paint for the trim. How much paint will Giselle use?

    Using the information given we can set up a simple math equation.

    (1.6 x 4) + 0.8 + (0.3 * 2) = Paint used

    6.4 + 0.8 + 0.6 = Paint used

    7.8 = Paint used.

    Finally you end up with your answe being B. 7.8 gallons of paint used.
