    Value=amount times cost per unit

    paper=10 times 0.55

    pencils=6 times 0.75

    she bought 10 paper and 6 pencils

    cost=10*0.55+6*0.75=$10.00 total

    0.55 x 10 = $5.50

    0.75 x 6 = $4.50

    total is $10.00
