    Width = x

    therefore length = 2x+3

    perimeter = 78

    therefore 2 (2x+3) + 2x = 78

    4x+6+2x = 78

    6x+6 = 78

    6x = 72

    x = 12

    therefore the width = 12 and the length = 27
