Ahmad, Barry, and Tara collected some seashells. Ahmad collected 1/6 of the seashells, Barry collected 1/2 of the seashells, and the rest were collected by Tara. Tara received 76 seashells. How many seashells do they have altogether?

    First you get figure out that Tara must have 1/3 of the shells from the other two ratios. Then you learn that 76 is 1/3 of the shells, therefore there must be 76*3 or 228 shells total.
