    Area equals length multiplied by the width

    L x W = A

    So if you have a length of 5 and a width of 3, you would multiply those and get 15 as the area.

    Now if you want the area of a triangle you do base time the height divided by two

    A=bxh/2

    For a circle you have pi times radius squared

    The equation to determine the area of an object such as a square or rectangle is A=LxW which means the length times the width of the object
