    1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18

    *Note that here are 18 cards in total.

    Modisha chooses one of the cards without looking. What is the probability that Modisha chooses a card with a number less than 10?

    (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9), 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18

    *Note that out of 18 cards, only 9 of them are less than the value of 10.

    This means that there is a 9/18 chance of Modisha choosing a card that is less than 10 blindfolded.

    It turns out that 9 is half of 18, therefore there is a 1/2 chance (50:50) that Modisha will choose a card that is less than 10 blindfolded.
