Serge should save 250 dollars a month because minus the scholarship leaves him with 12,000 dollars in debt. there are 48 monthhs in one year so you divide 1200/48 and get 250 dollars for 1 month

    12,250 - 250 = 12,000

    12,000 divided by 4 = 3,000

Serge has to save 3,000 a year

    so 3,000 divided by 12 = 250.

Serge has to save 250 a month
