    Area for a triangle: 1/2 x length x width

    Area for a semi circle: 1/2 x radius^2 x TT

    Radius: 7yd

    Diameter: 14yd

    Triangle:

    7 x 14 x 1/2 = 49yd^2

    Semi Circle:

    7^2 x TT x 1/2 = 76.93yd^2

Subtract the triangle's area from the semi circle's to get the remainder, or the shaded region's area:

    76.93 - 49 = 27.93yd^2
