If a n = 4n + 1 then what are the first three terms of the sequence.

    N = 4n + 1

    Substitute 1, 2 and 3 in for n - They're the first 3 terms of the sequence.

    1 = 4 (1) + 1 = 5

    2 = 4 (2) + 1 = 9

    3 = 4 (3) + 1 = 13
