    1 17 30 = 11730 Solution 1 by separating parts Rewriting our equation with parts separated = 2 + 1 6 - 3 5 = 2+16-35 Solving the fraction parts 1 6 - 3 5 = ? 16-35=? Find the LCD of 1/6 and 3/5 and rewrite to solve with the equivalent fractions.

    LCD = 30

    5 30 - 18 30 = - 13 30 530-1830=-1330 Combining the whole and fraction parts 2 - 13 30 = 1 17 30 2-1330=11730

    Putting the same common denominator would be 30. & the numerator for 1/6 would be 5, while the numerator for 3/5 would be 18. & if you subtract 5-18 you can't really do that so just switch it up (18-5) & you'd get - 13 & the common denominator is 30, so in that case - 13/30
