    189.5 = (n+n) : 4 you would set up sort of like a proportion to solve

    189.5 = (n+n) : 4. you would divide each side by 4 because you are doing pemdas backwards so 189.5:4 = 47.37

    47.37 = n+n

    and you know n and n are the same so divide 47.37 by 2 to get 23.68

    23.68=n

    Let n be the first integer, then n+2 is the following integer. Then,

    (n+n+2) / 4=189.5

    Solve the equation to find n=378
