    Area=π times radius^2

    so a=πr^2

    if radius is 2 then

    a=π (2^2) = π (4)

    π is roughly 3.14159 so

    a=3.14159 times 4=12.5664

    area is 12.57 square units

    a=πr^2

    r=6

    a=π (6^2) = π (36)

    3.14159 is roughly π

    3.14159 times 36=113.097

    area is 113.10 square units

    Area of Circle with radius Area with Circle with radius

    of 2 of 6

    A = π r^2 A=πr^2

    A = π (2) ^2 A=π (6) ^2

    A=4π A=36π

    A = 12.57 A = 113.1
