    6 (x + 2) - x = 4 (x + 4) + 7

    Use distributive property

    6x+12-x=4x+16+7

    Subtract x from 6x

    5x+12=4x+16+7

    Add 7 to 16

    5x+12=4x+23

    Subtract 4x from both sides

    x+12=23

    Subtract 12 from both sides

    Final Answer: x=11
