    Apple is a dollar per pound, and orange is 2 dollar per pound.

    5a+2o=9

    - 5a+6o=17

    -4o=-8

    -4o/-4=-8/-4

    O=2

    5a+2 (2) = 9

    5a+4=9

    -4 - 4

    5a=5

    5a/5=5/5

    A=1
