    So to factor out you find the greatest common factor of 14 and 7

    this is useful because if you have 2x-2 then you can factor out the 2 and get 2 (x-1)

    7=7*1

    14=2*7

    the greatest common factor is 7

    14x-7=7 (2x-1)
