1. What is the solution to the system of equations?

3x - 6y = - 12

x - 2y = - 8

(a) Use the substitution method to justify that the given system of equations has no solution.

(b) What do you know about the two lines in this system of equations?

    For the second equation solve for x and you will get x = 2y-8 plug that in for the first equation and you will have - 24=12 making it no solutions. And for b i would say that y is - 2times bigger than x for both equations so that will guarantee both will cancel
