    Cost of the magazine and a pizza that was bought by Anja = $9.75

    Let us assume the cost of the magazine bought by Anja = x dollars

    Then

    Cost of the pizza bought by Anja is = 2x dollars

    Then

    x + 2x = 9.75

    3x = 9.75

    x = 9.75/3

    = 3.25 dollars

    So

    The cost of the pizza bought by Anja = 2x

    = 2 * 3.25 dollars

    = 6.50 dollars

    From the above deduction we can easily conclude that the cost of the pizza bought by Anja is $6.50.
