    Two variables are directly proportional, such that y/x=c,

    and satisfying the equation y=ax+b.

    y=ax+b is the general form of linear equations, where, y: = dependant variable,

    x: = independent variable,

    a: = the slope, and b:=y-intercept

    x-intercept = - b/a
