' - 1 ' has a bigger value, because it's farther from zero.
But - 3/4 is called "greater", because it's more positive / less negative.

The number that is closer to zero is greater.
-3/4 and - 1
Since they're both negative, the one closer to zero is - 3/4, so that shall be the answer.
