2 3/4a=19 1/4 how do I do this equation

    Do you mean 2 times 3/4a=19 or 2 plus 3/4a=19?

    so first i would turn the fractions into improper fractions which would be 11/4a=77/4 then i would multiply by 4/11 on both sides to get a by its self. that would give us the answer of a = 7
