The base rate to rent a car is $75. Then, the customer is charged $2.00 per mile for each mile driven over 200 miles. Joel rented a car and drove 250 miles. If y = 2x + 75 models the function, which domain value gives Joel's total rental cost?

    The domain is going to be ur x value ... y would be ur range

    y = 2x + 75 ... base rate is 75 ... the x represents miles over 200.

    So if he drove 250 ... then he drove 50 miles over ... so ur domain (x) would

    be 50 <==

    In other words, the first 200 miles, u r not charged for mileage. So if he only drove (anything under 200 miles), then he would just be charged the 75 dollar base rate
