    So price=rate times time

    rates are

    x and 150-x

    time is 5 hourst ans 15 hours total cost is 1400

    p=rt

    5 (150-x) = p1

    15x=p2

    p1+p2=1400

    add them

    5 (150-x) + 15x=1400

    distribute

    750-5x+15x=1400

    add lke terms

    750+10x=1400

    subtract 750 from both sides

    10x=650

    diviide by 10

    x=65

    one rate is 65 dollar per hour

    subsitue

    other rate=150-x

    150-65=55

    the rate of teh 5 hours one is 55 dollars per hour

    the rate of th 15 hour one is 65 dollar per hour
