    Y-4x=8

    y=4x+8 (i added 4x to both sides)

    for y intercept let x=0

    y=4 (0) + 8

    y=8

    for x intercept let y=0

    0=4x+8

    4x=-8 (subtract 8 from both sides)

    x=-2 (divided both sides by 4)

    therefore draw up a x and y plane and put a dot on 8 on the y axis and a dot on - 2 on the x axis and draw a straight line through both of these intercepts.
