    Easy first brackets

    So (3+4) = (7)

So 5x (7) = 35x because she whatever is on the outside should be multiplied by the number in the brackets

You can solve it algebraically by simply adding the numbers in the parenthesis and multiplying to get 35x but if you want to solve it using distributive property exclusively then distribute as so

    5x (3) + 5x (4)

    15x + 20x

    35x
