The length of a rectangle is 3 meters less than twice its width.

A. write an equation to find the length of the rectangle.

B. The length of the rectangle is 11 meters. What us the width of the rectangle?

    A.) Length = 2w-3 (w=width)

    B.) 11=2w-3

    First, we add 3 to both sides ... And we get

    14=2w

    Next, we divide by 2 to get the w (or width) by itself ... and the answer would be

    7=w ... So the width of the rectangle is 7meters
