What is not a composite number

A number thta can only be divided by 1 and it self

A whole number that can be divided evenly that is not the number 1 or itself, for example you can divide most even numbers by a number that is not 1 or itself like 8, it can be divided by 2 or 4. A whole number that cannot be divided by another number that is not itself or 1 is 7, it can only be divided be 7 or 1; these are called prime numbers.
