What is the nth term of the sequence? 4, - 1, - 6, - 11, ...

a. 5n - 9

b. n + 3

c. - 5n + 9

d. - 5n + 4

    C. - 5n + 9

    When you sub in 1 for n you get - 5 (1) + 9 which is 4 and when 2 is subbed in for n it is - 10+9 which is - 1 so it checks. After - 11, the next number would be - 5 (5) + 9 = - 16
