Which equations represent circles that have a diameter of 12 units and a center that lies on the y-axis? Check all that apply. x2 + (y - 3) 2 = 36 x2 + (y - 5) 2 = 6 (x - 4) ² + y² = 36 (x + 6) ² + y² = 144 x2 + (y + 8) 2 = 36

The standard equation of the circle with center at h, k is (x-h) 2 + (y-k) 2=r2, Looking at the equations, there are only two equations that could suffice the condition of center at y-axis and diameter of 12

    x2 + (y-3) = 36

    center at (0,3) r=6, d=12

    x2 + (y+8) 2=36

    center at (0,-8) r=6, d=12
